We can arrange a transfer from any of the three airports if you tell us your flight in advance — email us and we will quote you.
How to reach us
By car
- From Rethymno — about 40 km, roughly 1 hour through the Kourtaliotis gorge
- From Chania — about 100 km, roughly 2 hours
- From Heraklion — about 130 km, roughly 2½ hours
The last stretch is mountain road: narrow, well surfaced, and slower than the map suggests. Worth doing in daylight the first time.
By bus
Buses run from Rethymno bus station to Plakias a few times a day, taking about an hour. The stop is on the seafront in the village, a ten-minute walk from us. Timetables change with the season — ask us and we will check the current one for you.
By air
Chania (CHQ) and Heraklion (HER) are the two practical airports. Chania is the shorter drive. There are no direct buses from either airport to Plakias, so plan on a hire car or a transfer.
